Job description

The Orientation and Mobility Specialist is responsible for offering direct guidance to students with visual impairments, assisting them in safely and independently navigating their school and community settings. Key duties involve performing assessments, creating IEP objectives, and working closely with interdisciplinary teams to monitor student advancement. Applicants should possess a bachelor’s degree and be a certified Orientation and Mobility Specialist (COMS). It is also essential to have experience with school-aged children who are blind or visually impaired, as well as the capability to pass background checks.
