Job Summary
The Pathology Assistant plays a pivotal role in supporting pathologists and ensuring the accurate and efficient processing of pathology specimens. This position involves performing technical tasks and administrative functions to assist in diagnosing diseases through the examination of tissue samples.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and examination of pathological specimens.
- Ensure proper handling and documentation of samples.
- Support pathologists in their diagnostic processes.
- Maintain laboratory equipment and supplies.
- Provide technical support for various laboratory procedures and quality control measures.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant scientific field or equivalent experience.
- Experience in a laboratory setting, preferably in pathology.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Knowledge of laboratory safety and compliance standards.
