The Patient Access Representative plays a pivotal role in managing the initial patient registration process, which encompasses verifying insurance information and collecting financial responsibilities. This position involves aiding patients with their insurance inquiries and guaranteeing adherence to regulations such as HIPAA and EMTALA. Applicants should possess a high school diploma or an equivalent qualification, along with a minimum of two years of experience in healthcare or customer service. A solid understanding of insurance verification processes and excellent communication abilities are essential, while CHAA certification is highly regarded.
