Job Summary
The Patient Service Representative serves as a vital connection between patients and the healthcare facility, ensuring that patient inquiries and concerns are addressed efficiently while facilitating top-notch customer service.
Responsibilities
- Act as the primary point of contact for patients, addressing their inquiries and providing assistance as needed.
- Schedule patient appointments and manage the booking system to ensure smooth operations.
- Collect and verify patient information and insurance details accurately.
- Maintain patient records and ensure confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Handle billing and payment processes, assisting patients with their financial inquiries.
- Coordinate communication between patients and clinical staff to streamline services.
- Monitor patient flow and manage waiting times effectively.
- Provide education on healthcare services available within the facility.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED is required; additional education in healthcare or related fields is a plus.
- Prior experience in customer service or healthcare settings is preferred.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proficient in using computer systems and managing data entry efficiently.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle difficult situations with professionalism.
