Job Summary
The Patient Transporter plays a vital role in ensuring the secure transportation of patients between treatment locations within the hospital. They utilize various forms of transport such as stretchers, wheelchairs, and beds, while strictly following the safety regulations established by the hospital.
Responsibilities
- Safely transfer patients to and from treatment areas using appropriate transportation methods.
- Assist with patient care activities, including positioning and lifting patients as needed.
- Maintain transport equipment to ensure functionality and safety.
- Uphold the confidentiality of patient information at all times.
- Demonstrate proper body mechanics to avoid injury during patient transport.
- Adhere to all departmental safety and identification protocols.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or GED is required.
- Proficiency in CPR is essential.
