Job Summary
The Pediatric Dentist is dedicated to providing specialized dental care for children, ensuring a supportive and understanding environment that promotes good oral health from an early age. This role involves diagnosing, treating, and managing various dental conditions while also focusing on preventative care and educating both children and their guardians about proper dental hygiene practices.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough examinations of children’s teeth, gums, and oral tissues.
- Diagnose dental conditions and create tailored treatment plans.
- Perform preventive and restorative procedures such as cleanings, fillings, and extractions.
- Educate children and parents on oral hygiene, diet, and appropriate dental care practices.
- Maintain accurate patient records, documenting treatments and progress.
- Utilize child-friendly techniques to promote a positive dental experience.
- Stay updated with advancements in pediatric dentistry and maintain professional development.
Qualifications
- DDS or DMD degree from an accredited dental school.
- Completion of a pediatric dental residency program.
- Valid dental license in the state of practice.
- Strong communication skills for interacting with children and their families.
- Compassionate approach towards patient care.
- Knowledge of the latest dental technology and procedures.
