Job Summary
The Pediatric Operating Room (OR) Surgical Technologist at Banner Desert Medical Center in Arizona City, AZ, plays a vital role in delivering exceptional surgical care to our youngest patients. This position involves ensuring a sterile environment and preparing surgical instruments and materials while assisting the surgical team throughout procedures.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain the sterile field and surgical instruments for pediatric surgeries.
- Assist with the overall turnover of the operating room between surgical cases.
- Manage and facilitate the organization of surgical supplies and case carts.
- Work collaboratively with surgeons and other healthcare professionals to deliver optimal patient care.
Qualifications
- Experience as a surgical technologist, specifically in an operating room setting is preferred.
- Knowledge of sterile techniques and surgical procedures, particularly in pediatrics.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills to effectively assist in a high-pressure environment.
