Job Summary
The Per Diem Resident Support Specialist plays a vital role in assisting residents by providing support services that promote their well-being and social engagement. This position requires a compassionate individual who can foster positive interactions and ensure a safe environment for the residents.
Responsibilities
- Provide emotional and social support to residents, enhancing their daily experience.
- Assist in organizing and leading recreational and social activities.
- Monitor and report any changes in residents’ physical or emotional state to the appropriate staff.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure comprehensive care plans meet the residents’ needs.
- Help maintain a clean and safe living environment for all residents.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; further education in social sciences is a plus.
- Previous experience in patient or resident support services is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a compassionate approach to care.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
