Job Summary
The Staff Pharmacist plays a crucial role in managing the preparation, dispensing, and oversight of medications for patients. This position requires adherence to all applicable legal standards and involves providing essential drug information and consultation to the patient care team to enhance medication safety and effectiveness.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the preparation and dispensing of medications, ensuring compliance with legal regulations.
- Provide drug information and consultation to healthcare team members regarding medication therapy.
- Ensure the safety and effectiveness of medications used in patient care.
Qualifications
- Pharm.D. degree is mandatory.
- A valid registered pharmacist license in the State of Florida is required.
- Experience in a hospital setting is preferred.
- BLS certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
