Job Summary
The pharmacy intern plays a crucial role in supporting the pharmacy team by assisting in the dispensing of medications, offering drug counseling to patients, and handling insurance claim processes, all while ensuring a clean and safe pharmacy environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist in dispensing prescriptions and managing medication distribution.
- Provide drug counseling to patients regarding their medications.
- Process and manage insurance claims efficiently.
- Support inventory management to ensure stock availability.
- Facilitate customer interactions to enhance service delivery.
- Administer immunizations under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
Qualifications
- Must be actively enrolled in an accredited US pharmacy school.
- Possess a valid state-issued Pharmacy Intern license.
