Job Summary
The Pharmacy Technician plays a crucial role in the support of healthcare by helping to process prescriptions, accurately inputting data, and preparing medications while working under the guidance of a licensed pharmacist. This position also involves maintaining an organized pharmacy environment, managing patient records, and delivering professional customer service to individuals seeking assistance.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the processing of prescription orders.
- Enter data accurately into pharmacy systems.
- Prepare medications according to established guidelines.
- Ensure the pharmacy maintains organization and cleanliness.
- Manage patient records and documentation effectively.
- Provide excellent customer service to patients and address their inquiries.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 16 or 18 years of age, based on regional regulations.
- Possess a current Board of Pharmacy registration or license.
- Exhibit proficiency in computer systems relevant to pharmacy operations.
- Have a solid understanding of basic mathematics.
- Possess knowledge of pharmacy procedures and HIPAA regulations.
