Job Summary
The Pharmacy Technician is responsible for executing a comprehensive range of pharmacy tasks, which include the dispensing of medications, order processing, and engaging in consultations with patients and healthcare providers. This role also encompasses the management of inventory, oversight of drug storage conditions, and delivering exemplary customer service to both hospital personnel and patients.
Responsibilities
- Dispense medications accurately and efficiently.
- Enter and process medication orders.
- Consult with patients and healthcare providers regarding prescription and medication inquiries.
- Manage and maintain pharmacy inventory levels.
- Inspect and ensure the proper storage of pharmaceutical products.
- Provide outstanding professional customer service to hospital staff and patients.
Qualifications
- Graduate of a Pharmacy Technician program accredited by ACPE.
- A minimum of one year of professional pharmacy experience within the past two years.
- Possession of an active and unrestricted pharmacist license.
- Current BLS CPR certification.
- Must be a citizen of the United States.
