Job Summary
This position involves providing assistance to both patients and healthcare professionals via telephone, facilitating the coordination of medication refill deliveries, and addressing various inquiries. The role also includes handling insurance rejections and prior authorizations, serving as the primary communication link for these processes.
Responsibilities
- Assist patients and healthcare providers by coordinating the delivery of medication refills through telephone communication.
- Address inquiries from patients and healthcare professionals regarding medications and prescription processes.
- Manage and resolve insurance rejections, ensuring smooth processing of medication orders.
- Handle prior authorization requirements and act as the main point of contact for follow-ups.
Qualifications
- Minimum of one year of experience working as a pharmacy technician.
- Valid registration or licensure as a pharmacy technician is required.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology to facilitate effective communication.
- Exceptional customer service skills to enhance patient and provider interactions.
- Intermediate keyboard proficiency for accurate data entry and communication.
