Job Summary
The Pharmacy Technician plays a crucial role in the healthcare team by ensuring the precise input, processing, and distribution of prescription medications specifically for hospice patients. This position supports pharmacists in their duties, oversees inventory management, and prioritizes delivering outstanding customer service to both patients and their caregivers.
Responsibilities
- Accurately enter and process prescription medications for hospice care.
- Dispense medications in accordance with established guidelines.
- Assist pharmacists in daily operations and medication management.
- Manage the inventory of pharmaceutical supplies.
- Provide high-quality customer service to patients and caregivers.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED is required.
- Current State Board of Pharmacy Technician license.
- Completion of a pharmacy technician training program is preferred.
- At least one year of relevant on-the-job experience is favored.
