Job Summary
The Phlebotomist/Medical Assistant plays a vital role in healthcare by conducting venipuncture and gathering different specimens while providing support to healthcare providers during patient care and clinical activities. This position also encompasses administrative duties, such as keeping lab records, and ensuring adherence to safety and health regulations.
Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture for specimen collection.
- Assist healthcare providers with patient care and clinical procedures.
- Handle administrative responsibilities, including maintaining accurate lab logs.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and safety standards.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Certification as a CCMA, RMA, or CPT is necessary.
- Current CPR certification is required.
- Must be willing to travel between clinic locations.
- Successful completion of a background check and drug screening.
