Job Summary
The Phlebotomist II plays a vital role in the healthcare team by collecting various specimens, such as drug tests and biometric samples, while ensuring the accuracy of data entry and billing processes. This position also involves processing specimens for their safe transport and maintaining accurate departmental logs and inventory in line with established guidelines.
Responsibilities
- Collect a variety of specimens, including drug screens and biometric samples.
- Ensure accurate entry of data related to specimen collection and billing procedures.
- Process specimens appropriately to prepare for transport.
- Maintain departmental logs and inventory in compliance with established protocols.
Qualifications
- Minimum of three years of experience in phlebotomy, with a focus on pediatric and geriatric collections.
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Strong proficiency in data entry.
- Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed.
