Job Summary
The role involves conducting routine blood collection and specimen drawing from patients in accordance with established protocols within the hospital. Additionally, the position includes handling the reception and processing of laboratory specimens and ensuring the availability of necessary laboratory supplies.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine blood collection and specimen drawing from patients.
- Adhere to established hospital procedures for specimen handling.
- Manage the receipt and processing of laboratory specimens.
- Maintain an adequate supply of necessary laboratory materials.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or its equivalent is required.
- An associate’s degree and completion of a medical assistance program are preferred.
- At least one year of experience in phlebotomy is advantageous.
- Certification as a phlebotomist technician is preferred.
