Job Summary
The Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) PRN is responsible for aiding physical therapists in delivering high-quality patient care. This role involves assisting in the implementation of treatment plans, ensuring patient comfort, and fostering an environment conducive to recovery. The PTA serves an essential function in supporting rehabilitation objectives, making a positive impact on patients’ overall health and recovery processes.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with physical therapists to follow and execute individualized treatment plans for patients.
- Assist patients with therapeutic exercises and activities, promoting mobility and strength.
- Monitor patients’ progress during sessions and provide relevant feedback to the supervising therapist.
- Assist in maintaining a clean and organized treatment environment.
- Educate patients and their families on proper techniques and exercises for managing their conditions.
Qualifications
- Must possess a valid PTA license or certification as required by state regulations.
- Previous experience in a healthcare or rehabilitation setting is advantageous.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with patients and team members.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
