Job Summary
This position entails delivering personalized physical therapy services within the home environment for pediatric patients, aimed at fostering their functional independence. The role involves evaluating, strategizing, and executing interventions tailored to meet the developmental needs of children with diverse diagnoses.
Responsibilities
- Conduct assessments to determine the physical therapy needs of pediatric patients.
- Develop individualized treatment plans that are appropriate for the child’s development stage.
- Implement therapeutic interventions that support the child’s functional abilities and independence.
- Monitor progress and adjust treatment plans as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, families, and caregivers to provide comprehensive care.
- Educate families regarding therapeutic techniques and approaches to encourage ongoing development at home.
Qualifications
- Current and valid license as a Physical Therapist in Texas.
- Preferred experience in pediatric home health care or a related area.
- Strong understanding of pediatric development and related physical therapy practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with children and their families.
- Ability to work independently in a home setting and manage time effectively.
