Job Summary
The Pre-Placement Staff Nurse is responsible for performing physical evaluations on children who are being placed in foster care while offering primary healthcare to manage various symptoms and medical conditions. This role involves working closely with interdisciplinary teams to create patient care programs and deliver health-related training to both staff and foster caregivers.
Responsibilities
- Conduct physical assessments for children entering foster care.
- Provide primary care for an array of symptoms and illnesses.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to design patient care programs.
- Deliver health-related training to staff and foster parents.
Qualifications
- A valid Registered Nurse License issued by New York State.
- A Bachelor of Science in Nursing is preferred.
- Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) and office software.
