Job Summary
The Medical Lab Scientist/Technician plays a crucial role in the healthcare system by collecting specimens and conducting a variety of laboratory tests, including chemical, microscopic, and bacteriological analyses. This position requires proficiency in operating both manual and automated laboratory equipment to facilitate accurate specimen analysis.
Responsibilities
- Collect and prepare specimens for testing.
- Conduct laboratory tests that include chemical, microscopic, and bacteriological assessments.
- Utilize both manual and automated equipment for specimen analysis.
Qualifications
- An Associate degree is required for the Technician role, while a Bachelor’s degree is necessary for the Scientist role.
- Current registration with ASCP or AMT is mandatory.
- A minimum of one year of relevant laboratory experience is required for both positions.
