Job Summary
The role of a pharmacist is crucial in maintaining patient safety through the precise filling and verification of prescriptions, alongside offering medication counseling services. This position also encompasses the management of pharmacy activities such as overseeing inventory, processing insurance claims, and mentoring pharmacy personnel.
Responsibilities
- Accurately fill and verify prescriptions to ensure patient safety.
- Provide medication counseling to patients regarding their prescriptions.
- Oversee the operational aspects of the pharmacy, including managing inventory levels.
- Handle insurance claims and resolve any related issues.
- Mentor and guide pharmacy staff to foster a knowledgeable team.
Qualifications
- Must possess a valid Utah Pharmacist License.
- Holder of a Controlled Substance license.
- Current CPR certification is required.
- A bachelor’s degree from an accredited pharmacy program is essential.
