Production Associate Overview
As a Production Associate, you will take on a foundational role in the manufacturing sector, focusing on transitioning machines between different products and executing weight-up or packaging tasks within the production team. Your goal will be to ensure top-notch product quality at the most efficient cost while aligning with customer specifications and delivery timelines, following all relevant policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities of the Production Associate
- Conduct all necessary cleaning for machine changeovers to guarantee efficient startup of equipment.
- Acquire proper documentation for production batches and ensure that the correct ingredients are provided to the workspace. You may also need to gather ingredients for mixing and accurately measure them to match recipe requirements.
- Prepare and activate weigh-up or packaging equipment, ensuring all controls comply with operational and safety standards.
- Promptly alert relevant staff about any issues or concerns that arise during production.
- Provide accurate support to Production Operators by supplying the necessary materials and functions to keep all equipment running smoothly.
- Complete and maintain all required records and documentation.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and workplace regulations, while also upholding cleanliness standards in the department.
Qualifications for the Production Associate
- Must be capable of frequently lifting and/or moving up to 55 pounds and occasionally managing loads up to 250 pounds.
- Regularly required to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, or crawl; utilize hands for grasping, manipulating items, or operating tools; and engage in verbal communication.
- The typical noise level in the work environment is moderate, with some areas experiencing higher noise levels.
- Must use personal protective equipment as required by the specific work area, which may include safety glasses, helmets, respirators, hearing protection, gloves, and other safety gear.
