Job Summary
The Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) plays a vital role in conducting psychiatric evaluations, carrying out clinical assessments, and managing medication within a collaborative healthcare framework. This position also includes acting as a valuable behavioral health resource for primary care teams and advocating effectively for the needs of patients.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric diagnostic evaluations.
- Perform thorough clinical assessments and develop appropriate treatment plans.
- Manage and adjust medication regimens for patients as needed.
- Collaborate with primary care providers to enhance patient outcomes.
- Serve as a behavioral health consultant for primary care provider teams.
- Advocate for patient rights and needs in various healthcare settings.
Qualifications
- Master’s or Doctoral degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
- Possession of an active ARNP license in the state of Washington.
- Board certification as a PMHNP from the ANCC is required.
