The Public Safety Officer plays a vital role in ensuring the safety of students, staff, visitors, and patients by conducting regular security and emergency operations. This position serves as a primary responder during emergencies and oversees critical situations using effective de-escalation strategies. Applicants should have a high school diploma or equivalent (GED) and must successfully complete a pre-employment psychological evaluation. Necessary qualifications include a valid driver’s license and IAHSS certification, while Georgia P.O.S.T. certification is highly preferred.
