Job Summary
The Purchasing Supervisor directs a team of procurement professionals focused on managing purchasing activities for maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO), capital projects, and various contracted services. This role is crucial for ensuring that the organization effectively sources materials and services while maintaining optimal inventory levels to facilitate seamless plant operations.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of buyers to enhance procurement processes.
- Oversee the sourcing and negotiation activities with suppliers.
- Optimize inventory levels to ensure adequate support for plant operations.
- Facilitate the purchasing of materials for capital projects and contracted services.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in purchasing or procurement, preferably in a manufacturing context.
- Previous leadership experience in a supervisory role.
- A bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, or a similar discipline is highly desirable.
