Job Summary
The QA Lab Technician plays a crucial role in maintaining production quality through various testing procedures and inspections. This position involves handling material evaluations, overseeing equipment upkeep, and ensuring compliance with quality standards. Additionally, the technician is tasked with the management of chemical waste, meticulous documentation of test outcomes in SAP, and collaboration with the shipping departments to streamline processes.
Responsibilities
- Conduct material testing and execute visual inspections to uphold production quality.
- Maintain and service lab equipment to ensure reliable operation.
- Manage chemical waste in compliance with safety regulations.
- Document test results accurately in SAP for record-keeping and analysis.
- Coordinate effectively with shipping departments to enhance operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting weights of up to 50 pounds.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data management and reporting.
- Experience with SAP systems or in quality lab environments is preferred.
