Job Summary
The QC Chemist II plays a vital role in ensuring the quality and safety of products by conducting a range of testing and analysis. This position is essential for maintaining compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements. The individual will utilize their expertise in chemistry to support the quality control processes, ensuring that all materials and products meet specified criteria.
Responsibilities
- Conduct routine and non-routine chemical analyses of raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products.
- Prepare and maintain laboratory equipment and instruments to ensure optimal performance.
- Document and report results in compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Identify and troubleshoot any deviations or anomalies in testing results.
- Assist in the development and validation of new testing methods as needed.
- Collaborate with the production and quality assurance teams to ensure product integrity.
- Participate in laboratory investigations and maintain records in accordance with Good Laboratory Practices (GLP).
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or a related field.
- Proven experience in a laboratory setting, particularly within quality control.
- Strong understanding of analytical chemistry techniques and instrumentation.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow protocols strictly.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
