Job Summary
This role is focused on delivering practical quality assurance for fabrication processes, overseeing non-conforming materials, and creating quality improvement systems and tools such as PFMEAs, control plans, and statistical process control (SPC) initiatives. The position requires leading investigations to determine root causes and spearheading enhancement projects while analyzing quality metrics. Collaboration with Operations, Engineering, and various teams is essential to support product launches and process modifications.
Responsibilities
- Provide hands-on quality support for fabrication operations.
- Manage and address non-conforming materials effectively.
- Develop and implement quality systems and tools like PFMEAs and control plans.
- Conduct SPC activities to monitor and maintain quality standards.
- Lead investigations to identify root causes of quality issues.
- Drive improvement projects based on analysis of quality metrics.
- Support the introduction of new products and facilitate process changes in cooperation with multiple teams.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical discipline.
- Minimum of two years’ experience as a Quality or Process Engineer in a high-volume manufacturing setting.
- Hands-on experience in implementing improvements on the factory floor.
- Strong skills in statistical analysis and project management.
- Proficient with MS Office Suite, Power BI, InfinityQS, and Minitab or JMP software.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 or comparable quality management systems.
