Job Summary
The Radiology Extern plays a crucial role in supporting the Radiology department by maintaining imaging equipment, assisting technologists in delivering quality patient care, and ensuring safe patient transport between various departments.
Responsibilities
- Clean and prepare imaging equipment for use.
- Assist radiologic technologists in providing patient care.
- Facilitate patient transportation to and from different departments.
- Ensure correct patient identification and prioritize patient safety during transport.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Current enrollment in or recent completion of a Radiology program is necessary.
- A valid BLS/CPR certification from the American Heart Association is mandatory.
