Job Summary
The Radiology Technologist plays a pivotal role in the healthcare system by performing diagnostic imaging procedures. This position requires expertise in operating radiographic equipment, preparing patients for imaging, and ensuring that the highest standards of safety and quality are maintained during imaging services.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and position patients for radiological examinations.
- Operate imaging equipment to capture diagnostic images as per physicians’ orders.
- Ensure the safety and comfort of patients during procedures.
- Maintain and manage radiological equipment, ensuring it is functioning correctly.
- Review and assess images for quality and completeness.
- Maintain accurate patient records and assist in the workflow of the radiology department.
Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited radiologic technology program.
- Current certification and licensure as required by jurisdiction.
- Strong understanding of radiographic techniques and patient care.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with medical personnel.
- Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
