Job Summary

The Resident Assistant (RA) plays a vital role in fostering a supportive and cohesive community within residential settings. This position is centered on enhancing the student experience by providing guidance, facilitating activities, and promoting a positive living environment. The RA serves as a crucial link between students and the administration, ensuring that resident needs are addressed efficiently and effectively.

Responsibilities

• Assist in creating a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere for all residents.
• Organize and facilitate various social, educational, and recreational activities to engage residents.
• Provide support and resources to residents, addressing any concerns or issues they may encounter.
• Act as a mediator and problem-solver among roommates and residents to maintain peaceful living conditions.

• Maintain open lines of communication with residents, gathering feedback and promoting a sense of community.
• Participate in staff meetings and training sessions, contributing to the development of residence life programming.
