Job Summary
The Registered Nurse (RN) plays a crucial role in evaluating patient requirements, devising personalized care strategies, and administering care for patients undergoing surgical and endoscopic procedures. This position also involves maintaining precise documentation of patient care, assigning tasks to other healthcare professionals, and providing educational support to patients and their families.
Responsibilities
- Assess patient needs and requirements.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Provide comprehensive pre-operative and post-operative care for surgical and endoscopy patients.
- Document patient care accurately and thoroughly.
- Delegate appropriate tasks to healthcare team members.
- Educate patients and their families regarding care and procedures.
Qualifications
- An Associate Degree in Nursing is required.
- Must possess a valid nursing license in Iowa.
- Proficient in the English language.
- Basic computer skills are necessary.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications are mandatory.
