Job Summary
The RN/LPN Charge Nurse for Nights plays a vital role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality care during the late-night shift from 11 PM to 7 AM. This position is crucial for overseeing staff, coordinating patient care, and maintaining a safe and effective nursing environment.
Responsibilities
- Supervise nursing staff and manage daily operations during the night shift.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and organizational policies.
- Coordinate patient care and communicate effectively with healthcare teams.
- Provide direct patient care as needed, maintaining quality and safety standards.
- Conduct assessments and develop care plans tailored to individual patient needs.
- Serve as a primary contact for staff and address any issues that arise during the shift.
- Participate in staff training and development initiatives.
Qualifications
- Current RN or LPN licensure in the state of practice.
- Previous nursing experience in a clinical environment is preferred.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to remain calm and effective in high-pressure situations.
