Job Summary
This role encompasses the oversight of general accounting functions across various branches, systems, and currencies. It includes managing journal entries, performing reconciliations, facilitating close procedures, and reviewing the work of shared services. Additionally, this position supports financial reporting, audits, and internal control processes while addressing issues and seeking opportunities for process enhancements.
Responsibilities
- Manage and supervise general accounting activities across different branches and currencies.
- Oversee the preparation of journal entries and perform account reconciliations.
- Coordinate the financial close process and ensure accuracy in reporting.
- Review work from shared services for compliance and accuracy.
- Support the financial reporting process and prepare for audits.
- Ensure effective internal controls are implemented and maintained.
- Collaborate across departments to address accounting needs and resolve issues.
- Identify areas for process improvements and implement necessary changes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred.
- 3 to 5 years of experience in accounting or finance.
- A professional accounting certification is strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated technical accounting skills and analytical abilities.
- Proficient communication and organizational skills.
- Experience with shared services and knowledge of SOX compliance is an advantage.
