Job Summary
The role entails leading comprehensive research initiatives focused on developing approaches for learning and sustaining business ontologies while integrating AI agents with enterprise data. This includes creating benchmarks, conducting experiments, and developing prototypes. Collaboration with academic institutions and SAP product teams is essential, alongside publishing research findings or contributions to open-source projects and providing mentorship to interns.
Responsibilities
- Lead innovative research on business ontologies and AI agent integration.
- Design and implement benchmarks, conduct experiments, and prototype solutions.
- Collaborate with universities and SAP teams to drive research forward.
- Publish findings in research journals or contribute to open-source projects.
- Mentor and guide interns in research activities and methodologies.
Qualifications
- Typical requirement of five or more years of practical experience in data science, machine learning, or applied research, or a PhD with a minimum of two years in a related area.
- Advanced degrees (MS, PhD) or equivalent applicable experience in a relevant discipline.
- Strong foundational knowledge in machine learning and statistics.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and SQL.
- Experience in at least one pertinent area, including knowledge graphs, entity resolution, relational or graph machine learning, or LLM systems over structured data.
- Demonstrated ability to conduct thorough experiments and effectively communicate research outcomes.
