Job Summary
The Senior Process Engineer plays a vital role in refining and enhancing manufacturing processes. This position requires strong analytical skills and the ability to implement efficient processes that comply with safety and quality standards. The engineer will collaborate closely with various teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives and ensure optimal operational performance.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and optimize existing manufacturing processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
- Lead process improvement projects utilizing Lean, Six Sigma, and other methodologies.
- Develop and implement process control strategies that enhance product quality.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify areas for improvement and innovation.
- Conduct root cause analysis for process deviations and implement corrective actions.
- Document and maintain process specifications, standards, and procedures.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and production staff.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field; a Master’s degree is a plus.
- A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in process engineering within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong familiarity with process improvement tools and techniques such as Lean and Six Sigma.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
