Job Summary
The Senior Security Engineer in Operations is responsible for ensuring the security of operational systems and processes, focusing on identifying vulnerabilities and implementing effective controls. This role demands a proactive approach to maintaining and enhancing security measures while collaborating with various teams to strengthen the organization’s defenses against threats.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive security assessments of operational systems to identify vulnerabilities.
- Design and implement security controls and processes to mitigate risks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security practices into operational workflows.
- Monitor security alerts and incident responses to ensure timely resolution of security issues.
- Provide guidance on security best practices and compliance requirements.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in security engineering or a related discipline, with a focus on operational environments.
- Strong knowledge of security methodologies, tools, and frameworks.
- Experience with security technologies such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and vulnerability management tools.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically under pressure.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CEH) are preferred.
