Job Summary
The Senior Systems Engineer role is focused on the management and optimization of server, cloud, and data systems. This position is based in Durham, North Carolina, and requires an onsite presence three days a week to engage in various operations tasks. The engineer will collaborate with Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), DevOps, and technical teams to outline operational requirements and implement effective solutions.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the deployment and maintenance of server, cloud, and data systems.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to define and enhance operational workflows.
- Engage in operational tasks to ensure the optimum performance of systems.
- Assist in designing and managing High Performance Computing (HPC) environments.
Qualifications
- Demonstrable experience in systems engineering, particularly with server and cloud infrastructure.
- Familiarity with High Performance Computing (HPC) systems.
- Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with SRE and DevOps teams.
- A commitment to onsite work on specified days to ensure seamless operations.
