Job Summary
This position calls for an individual to act as the principal technical expert in the areas of materials testing, analysis, and the design of equipment. The successful candidate will be responsible for validating methodologies and deliverables, ensuring they meet nuclear codes, ASTM standards, ASME specifications, and client expectations. Additionally, the role includes leading research and development initiatives, supporting clients in intricate investigations, mentoring technical personnel, and promoting quality and ongoing improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the lead technical authority in materials testing and analysis.
- Validate methodologies and deliverables to ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Lead research and development projects.
- Support clients through complex investigations.
- Mentor and guide technical staff.
- Contribute to quality assurance and continuous improvement efforts.
Qualifications
- PhD in mechanical engineering, materials science, nuclear engineering, or a closely related discipline.
- Minimum of five years of relevant experience in the field.
- Expertise in fracture mechanics, fatigue, corrosion, and high-temperature material behavior.
- Demonstrated experience with applicable standards and codes.
- Proven technical leadership capabilities.
- Strong communication and client management skills.
- Ability to contribute to organizational growth strategies.
