Job Summary
The Shop Foreman plays a crucial role in overseeing daily operations within the workshop. This position is essential for coordinating work flows, ensuring safety standards are met, and maintaining high levels of quality control throughout all aspects of production.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and direct shop personnel in daily tasks and projects.
- Ensure adherence to safety regulations and promote a safe working environment.
- Monitor production schedules to meet project deadlines efficiently.
- Facilitate communication between management and shop staff regarding job assignments.
- Conduct regular evaluations of workflow and make necessary adjustments to optimize productivity.
- Lead training initiatives for new employees and ongoing staff development.
- Maintain inventory and order supplies as needed to ensure smooth operations.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a supervisory role within a manufacturing or workshop environment.
- Strong knowledge of production processes and quality control measures.
- Excellent leadership skills and the ability to motivate a diverse team.
- Effective problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions quickly.
