The postdoctoral fellow will be responsible for establishing and executing spatially resolved soft x-ray reflectometry and magnetic reflectometry techniques at the Advanced Light Source. Key duties involve conducting experiments using synchrotron radiation, creating data analysis workflows, and disseminating research results through publications in peer-reviewed journals. Candidates are required to have a PhD in Physics, Chemistry, Materials Science, or a similar discipline. Ideal applicants should have a solid understanding of x-ray scattering or microscopy and demonstrate the ability to conduct experimental work independently.
