Job Summary
The Speech Language Pathologist is responsible for assessing, designing, and implementing speech therapy interventions in accordance with physician directives. This role is focused on helping patients recover functionality and achieve optimal performance levels following incidents of injury or illness. Recent graduates are welcome to apply, and comprehensive training on Modified Barium Swallow techniques will be provided.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough evaluations of patients to determine their speech and language needs.
- Develop customized treatment plans aimed at restoring communication and swallowing functions.
- Administer therapy sessions as per the established care protocols.
- Collaborate with medical professionals to ensure cohesive patient care.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress and treatment outcomes.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families related to speech therapy processes.
Qualifications
- Candidates must possess a relevant degree in Speech Language Pathology.
- Open to recent graduates, demonstrating enthusiasm for the field.
- A willingness to work across diverse healthcare environments, including sub-acute rehabilitation and long-term care facilities.
- Ability to engage with patients effectively and adapt to their unique needs.
