Job Summary
The Senior Engineer plays a critical role in overseeing technical aspects of Distributed Energy Resources (DER) projects. This involves not only the design and upgrade of electric distribution systems but also the development of innovative grid modernization strategies. An essential part of this role is to guide and mentor junior engineering staff while ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
Responsibilities
- Lead technical initiatives and engineering studies for DER projects.
- Oversee the design and upgrade processes of electric distribution systems.
- Implement modernization strategies for the power grid.
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior engineering personnel.
- Manage budgeting and scheduling for various projects.
- Conduct complex engineering analyses to maintain safety and system reliability.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering or possession of a Professional Engineer license.
- A minimum of 7 years of professional engineering experience.
- Strong understanding of electrical system analysis.
- Familiarity with relevant industry standards, codes, and best practices in design.
