Senior IT Business Systems Analyst
12 Month Contract (Potential for Extension)
Remote
$50/hr – $57/hr W2
As a Senior IT Business Systems Analyst, your key responsibility will be to act as a bridge between business and technology factions. You will lead efforts in pinpointing and defining intricate systems requirements, scope, and objectives, drawing from a deep comprehension of complex business systems and industry standards. Your role will be instrumental in facilitating collaboration between business and tech teams, mentoring members on identifying and articulating systems requirements. Additionally, you’ll contribute significantly to shaping project scopes and objectives, ensuring that modifications promote substantial enhancements and align closely with the organization’s strategic goals.
Required Skills:
- Familiarity with industry-standard tools for process mapping, documentation, and lifecycle management to improve clarity and optimize operations.
- Proficiency in understanding the systems and infrastructure relevant to the application, including interconnected systems and supporting technologies.
- Expertise in utilizing industry methodologies for eliciting, prioritizing, organizing, documenting, modeling, and analyzing requirements.
- Strong facilitation and meeting management capabilities, enabling the creation of an environment that fosters active participation and efficient outcomes.
- A solid understanding of software development practices, particularly Agile methodologies, to support effective delivery.
- Negotiation and influence skills to effectively share information and secure stakeholder engagement.
- Strong presentation abilities to convey information in diverse formats catering to various audiences.
- Analytical prowess and problem-solving capabilities, with a keen attention to detail for accurate assessment and recommendations.
- Effective communication skills (listening, verbal, and written) to navigate between technical and non-technical stakeholders seamlessly.
- Interpersonal skills to engage and influence individuals across various organizational sectors.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic, team-focused setting with shifting priorities and timelines.
- Demonstrated capacity to manage multiple initiatives concurrently, balancing deadlines and stakeholder expectations without compromising quality.
Preferred Skills and Experiences:
- Experience with tools like AgilePlace, GitHub, Mural, and Visio for process mapping and workflow design.
- Familiarity with technologies such as Generative AI and APIs.
- Understanding of APIs and system integration concepts.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- A Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Information Technology, a business-related field, or a similar discipline, with at least 4 years of relevant experience in requirements gathering or systems analysis.
- Alternatively, completion of a technical training program accompanied by a minimum of 4 years of experience in requirements gathering activities or systems analysis.
- In absence of a degree, a minimum of 6 years of experience in requirements gathering activities or systems analysis is required.
