Job Summary
The Sterile Processing Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring that surgical instruments and equipment are thoroughly cleaned, sterilized, and maintained. This position is vital for providing necessary supplies for surgical cases while upholding documentation accuracy and adhering to infection control protocols.
Responsibilities
- Perform cleaning and sterilization of surgical instruments and equipment.
- Maintain and ensure the availability of surgical supplies for procedures.
- Accurately document processes related to sterilization and maintenance.
- Adhere to established infection control standards to promote patient safety.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED is required.
- Must possess a current Sterile Processing Certification.
- One to two years of experience as an Instrument Technician across various specialties is necessary.
