Job Summary
Keck Medicine of USC Surgery Center in Pasadena is in search of a Sterile Processing Technician specializing in OR readiness and sterilization. The primary goal of this role involves managing the processes of decontamination, cleaning, inspection, and packaging to ensure the highest quality standards are met.
Responsibilities
- Conduct decontamination and cleaning of surgical instruments and equipment.
- Inspect and package sterile supplies to meet safety and quality standards.
- Perform quality assurance checks to ensure readiness for surgical procedures.
- Assist with operating room turnover and case picking as time allows.
Qualifications
- Experience or training in sterile processing or a related field is preferred.
- Knowledge of sterilization techniques and infection control practices.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced surgical environment.
- Attention to detail and a strong commitment to quality assurance.
