Job Summary
The Structural Engineer (SE – Civil/Truss) role in Springfield, Illinois is essential for the effective planning, design, and implementation of structural projects. This position is fundamental in ensuring the structural integrity of various constructions, making contributions from the hiring process through to project completion. The engineer will leverage their expertise in civil engineering to oversee and manage projects effectively.
Responsibilities
- Design and analyze structures to meet safety and functionality requirements.
- Develop and maintain project documentation throughout the lifecycle.
- Collaborate with teams to ensure compliance with regulations and standards.
- Assist in the hiring process and mentor junior engineers.
- Oversee quality control measures during project execution.
Qualifications
- Possession of a valid Structural Engineer (SE) license or Professional Engineer (PE) certification.
- A bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Experience in structural engineering, particularly in truss design and analysis.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
