They are responsible for linking clients to resources, teaching coping skills, and providing transportation for appointments. Candidates must possess a High School Diploma or G.E.D. along with specific substance abuse counseling certifications such as CADC, CATC, or SUDCC. Additionally, at least six months of experience in an addictions setting and a valid driver’s license with personal vehicle insurance are required.
