Supply Chain Process Engineer
San Antonio, TX
12-month contract
$36/HR

Responsibilities of the Supply Chain Process Engineer

  • Assist in the execution and coordination of Supply Chain initiatives associated with the launch of the 2nd Shift.
  • Create external warehouse designs that include material handling flows, storage, receiving, replenishment, and operational workflows.
  • Identify and acquire necessary material handling equipment and infrastructure for the new facility.
  • Manage vendor relations, oversee equipment setup, commissioning, and project rollout.
  • Work with the Transportation team to establish receiving schedules, delivery intervals, and material flow criteria.
  • Collaborate with Facilities and IT teams to ensure building infrastructure, hardware, and operational readiness.
  • Assist in assessing and implementing necessary changes to ERP/Warehouse systems.
  • Aid in the expansion of the Kitting Platform, focusing on layouts, material presentation, equipment requirements, and installation efforts.
  • Conduct analyses on capacity, material flow, space usage, and overall processes.
  • Develop project timelines, progress reports, action plans, and documentation for implementation.
  • Support project launches, oversee shutdown procedures, and assist in production scaling as needed.
  • Packaging (Repacking): Create and apply standardized processes for repacking, encompassing packaging specifications, quantity packaging, material presentation, workspace, equipment needs, and process improvements while ensuring close coordination with Process teams, Procurement, Quality, Transportation, and suppliers.

Qualifications for the Supply Chain Process Engineer

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain/Logistics Engineering preferred; alternatively, candidates with degrees in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Process Engineering, or relevant fields will be considered.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in Industrial, Manufacturing, or Supply Chain Engineering.
  • Familiarity with warehouse operations, material flow, kitting, and material handling technologies.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience in managing vendor relationships and overseeing equipment installations.
  • Understanding of ERP/WMS systems is an advantage.
  • Exemplary project management, analytical, and cross-departmental communication skills.
